About Woopra

Woopra is a revolutionary Web analytics tool designed from the ground up to break all the rules. By splitting the service into a client + server application, we’ve radically decreased the load on network resources, and enabled the graphing and analysis engine to harness the power of desktop processing.

The Woopra Mission

Enable Web transparency.
Help build communities.
Empower effective communication.

A Brief History

Woopra has been quietly under development for over a year and has thousands of man-hours worth of passionate work behind it. With the application reaching maturity, and after extensive Alpha testing, Woopra was unveiled as a closed Beta at WordCamp Dallas on March 29, 2008.

200 invitations were distributed to attendees, and celebrity blogger Cali Lewis conducted a video interview with John Pozadzides in conjunction with a live demonstration. The interview was published online and within hours the viral spread of the launch reached GeekBrief, TechCrunch, Mashable, and thousands of other sites – bringing millions of visitors overnight.

The underlying technologies that power Woopra collectively contain over 500,000 lines of unique code, which is constantly being refined, and the user base has grown at an average rate of over 25% per month, every month to the current total of over 80,000 registered Websites.

We are delighted that Woopra has received coverage from major media outlets including Wired, PC World, The Financial Times, and many, many more. Google also finds hundreds of thousands of links to Woopra, and the Twitterverse is constantly engaged with fan comments and recommendations.
