New Round of Woopra Approvals
Just as a quick update, we are in the process of approving a few thousand more users, so many of you will be receiving access to Woopra over the next few days.
For those of you who don’t receive access in the next 72 hours, please know that we’re working through the backlog as fast as possible while we prepare more infrastructure for the job of reliably tracking your Web site, and I’ll drop routine updates on the blog here to keep you up to speed on how things are coming.
My rough guess is that we’ll be doing a large number of additional approvals within a week of completing this current batch.
Thanks again everyone! And we’re really looking forward to reading those reviews from the folks who just got approved! Please let us know what you think!

May 15th, 2008 at 6:50 am
My fingers are crossed each time you process a batch! Eventually I’ll be part of the pool.
May 15th, 2008 at 9:27 am
I’m refreshing the members area page for see if my activation was completed
May 15th, 2008 at 9:51 am
I may not survive the wait…not really but approval would help quite a bit as I map out stratagies.
May 15th, 2008 at 10:45 am
I think it’s a good thing, and cross my fingers for me is included
May 15th, 2008 at 11:02 am
just created a script that reloads the members area page every 5 seconds
May 15th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
To cope with the wait I had to find something to take away my time instead of refreshing. So I started blogging, which is kinda why I wanted woopra in the first place.
May 15th, 2008 at 2:51 pm
yeah I hope I am accepted finally
May 15th, 2008 at 3:19 pm
I also hope to be approved soon!
It is very bad for my health to see ‘Pending Approval’ earch time I log in.
May 15th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Yay, I’m approved, can’t wait to have a look around!
May 15th, 2008 at 10:26 pm
Hey gang, you do know that you’ll get an e-mail instantly when you’re approved right? No need to keep looking at the Web site like you’re Jonesing for a fix.
May 15th, 2008 at 10:33 pm
just got approved. YEAH. This is actually really cool. worth the wait
May 15th, 2008 at 10:44 pm
omg…woopra is so fantastic - its spectacular…everyone of us admins can have a fully featured AnalyticsCenter where u can find out who is watching what.
Special thanks to all off woopra.
But i have a question for now:
This Service which u provide is so fantastic that I could not believe that it is always for free. How much would it cost in near future? Where can I see details in costs?
Thanks in Advance
J.

Approved! …and worth the wait.
Fantastic! I’m in webmaster heaven.
Keep up the great work!
May 16th, 2008 at 9:08 am
When did you guys applied whoever is approved :s
I think mine is two weeks or more :s
May 16th, 2008 at 11:11 am
@ anex:
As the program continues to be in beta testing, changing and evolving quickly, we are changing our commercial versions accordingly. We are planning a free version.
May 16th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
How my username changed on the comment lol
May 16th, 2008 at 8:54 pm
@ friends
Yeah, I wonder about that too…
May 17th, 2008 at 12:17 am
thanks for aproving another website from me.. it is really great, i love, like and tell all the people i know about woopra and they seem to love it, too. keep on that good work and that “user-non-distance” style. just can say a small german word to you: vielen dank!

May 17th, 2008 at 2:04 am
@ underestimated:
It was changed because it resembled comment spam. It is considered bad manners in general to use non-names in blog comments. Like most bloggers, we love real names or at least legitimate sounding handles.
May 17th, 2008 at 6:07 am
Thats a nice news

I registered today itself
Can I get my self activated in the same wave of updates
also why do you moderate all the websites b4 letting them be activated ???
May 17th, 2008 at 8:29 am
When will you fix analytics bug? I’d like to see data at this moment and it doesn’t work.
May 17th, 2008 at 8:40 am
I hope that this week my site will approved
May 17th, 2008 at 10:15 am
@ Vygantas:
The next upgrade with many bug fixes and some new improvements and features is due out any moment. Woopra will automatically upgrade when you log in.
May 17th, 2008 at 7:03 pm
I think that we need a pending list so we can see just how far down we are.. Everytime I get a woopra email i get excited, then crash down to reality… Anyway we can get a list or somehting? Maybe an estimated approval date?? Probably save you guys some time from answering all the “when can I get approved” emails.
May 17th, 2008 at 11:01 pm
@ randy72560:
That’s something worth considering, though hopefully we will not have this issue at all.
As for emails from Woopra, what emails are you getting that do not apply to signing up or getting approved? You shouldn’t be getting anything from Woopra via email.
May 18th, 2008 at 12:11 am
Arite then you can change usernam? If yes, change it to Kaleem. And also approve me lol
May 18th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
Does anyone have any idea how many ppl / accounts have been approved?
May 18th, 2008 at 9:50 pm
Still in “Pending Approval”, hope to activate my account. I am so eager to use. Thanks.
May 18th, 2008 at 9:56 pm
@ underestimated:
I cannot change your username. Go to your account profile and change it accordingly. And next time, choose wiser.
May 18th, 2008 at 9:58 pm
@ me:
Over 10,000 approvals have been given out, which is a lot more than we intended. We’re working on approving a few thousand more, as John has stated in this article. That’s a lot of beta testers for a private beta testing program.
So stay tuned. You may be next, but asking for approvals will not speed the process. Paying and migrating to more servers will.
May 19th, 2008 at 1:09 am
Is it one approval for each site you want tracked or an approval and then you can add all your sites?
May 19th, 2008 at 4:12 am
not me for this round
May 19th, 2008 at 6:22 am
@Lorelle VanFossen
Now i see many with not their real names so I am fine with it now. I dont know why you single me out in this.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:10 am
any idea when there will be a new beta out to fix some of the bugs

May 19th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
@ underestimated:
I did not single you out. I fix names when I have the time. With all the work going on behind the scenes on Woopra, I haven’t had time to fix what people should not do in the first place.
Just know that the web world in general appreciates “real” sounding names not CB handles, if you want legitimacy, branding, and authority. If you don’t, then don’t. People tend to take sincerity seriously, which is why Woopra helps turn numbers into real people with the changing of their identity from a number to a name when someone posts a comment on your website or blog.
May 19th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
@ DJSlim:
Work is constantly underway to improve Woopra and it’s only been about two weeks since the last update. Another one is due very soon. Stay tuned. You might miss it as it happens automatically when you log into the program.
May 20th, 2008 at 1:14 am

i’m still crazy!!!
May 22nd, 2008 at 7:18 pm
Pretty Lame. What is with the “invite” thing? I would have liked to understand that more before I spent any time with this.
May 23rd, 2008 at 4:41 am
To think that the 15 of May was my birthday … .. well guess the approval is in the mail
Looking forward to seeing woopra run and to start comparing it to the built in features of episerver.
May 24th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
I’ve been waiting a long time for “approval” and am ready to walk away from this thing.
You might want to re-think this type of launch.
May 26th, 2008 at 8:50 am
People said woopra is great application but I’m not sure it’s as great as they said before I tried, and I don’t really had a chance to try,, till when should I wait for the approval ??
May 28th, 2008 at 12:06 pm
Waiting for an invite is frustrating, but it’s a perfectly reasonably way of running a public Beta - they don’t want to overload the servers, and want to make sure bugs get ironed out before launching to more people.
The only suggestion I would make is to post some idea of how long the waiting is likely to be when people sign up.
May 30th, 2008 at 6:23 pm
Still waiting, http://flash-candy.com
May 31st, 2008 at 2:28 am
I’m waiting for the approval for 3 weeks now, but it’s no rush :). I can wait. I just hope Woopra is as good as everybody says.
