Woopra News, August 9th, 2009 by Lorelle

Woopra 1.3.2 Beta has been released, a fast follow up resolving some issues with our hottest release ever.

To automatically upgrade, log out and back into Woopra.

For those who still have not upgraded:

  • If you have been using Woopra 1.2, log out and back into Woopra to automatically upgrade.
  • If you have been among the brave testing the Woopra Release Candidates, please uninstall the old versions of Woopra and Download the latest version and install it clean. Old versions carry a notice that says “Requires Upgrade.”

We’re preparing articles, screencast videos and tutorials on the new version of Woopra. Until then, check out the announcement on “Woopra 1.3.1 Beta Out and In the Wild.”

Try though I may, I have not been successful in updating my time zone. I have tried several different browsers and operating systems both on Release 1.3 and prior releases.

I have signed in on Woopra as a member, gone to settings and then nothing else can be done in the resulting area where you should be able to do something about time zones.

    • We’re aware of the time zone issues and are working on a solution. Thanks for your input to help us figure out what is impacting this and for reporting on other issues to help us make Woopra better. Thank you.

Wow! What a contrast to installing 1.3.1 (Jaunty 64) .. AUTO-INSTALLS NOW!!! Everything seems to be working fine. And I can get on surfing Youtube with my work. Big cheer Wooprans. (.. from he who was formally known to have sworn once or thrice.)

Korean language does not appear correctly… readable with previous versions, now not. They appear as a series of squares…

Posting one comment returns “You are posting comments too quickly. Slow down.”

…This would be my second comment :-)

  8. gearspring says:

3rd comment. 1st didn’t work. 2nd worked, but was just to report the first not working.

I can’t login anymore after quitting out of woopra 1.3.2 beta.

  9. Hi , new update installed A1 ok , all working as smooth as ever love woopra ! , only thing is when are we going to get a working live chat ? this would be a fantastic service for me as a business and I would happily pay for it ?

    Andrew

    • @gearspring: Sorry, your comments went into the spam catcher, probably because of the odd email you used. We’ve seen your comments in the forum and have responded there. Thanks.

@Andrew Davies: The Live Chat is working, just not too well on all setups of IE8. We’re looking into that. And enjoy Woopra while it is totally free during this phase of testing.

    Hello Lorelle.
As the update is over, Woopra closes itself. Even if I stop the update, it happens the same. Why? And, most of all, what can I do?

  11. radiowaves says:

    Hello.
Bad email and spam folder for my previous comment, too? :o)
    Let’s try again.
As the update is over, Woopra quits itself. The same happens if I stop the update. Is there a solution?
    I use Mac Osx 10.4.

  12. radiowaves says:

Ok, problem solved, even if I couldn’t publish my requests…

  13. Diane says:

I’ve tried and tried to get my Woopra to update – won’t do it. I get a “Requires Upgrade” message. I log out, log back in, nothing. Any suggestions? I’m on 1.3

    • There are answers to most of your questions in the Woopra Forums. We’re aware of these issues and will soon have a bug report summary in the forums. Thanks for your input and keep the information coming. You are all helping Woopra improve after this massive code rewriting. Stay tuned for an update to deal with many of these issues very soon.

Why does the history panel display a full url, http://www.site.com/home.htm, rather that the old way that displayed only the page name ‘home.htm?’ Just the page name make the report a lot easier to read.
