So, Who Wants a Free Woopra iPhone App?

As I mentioned in the last post, this past weekend was Startup Weekend in Dallas, part of a global Startup Weekend event happening in cities all around the world. I participated in this event, and pitched an idea on behalf of Woopra to build an iPhone app.

Well, we did indeed have a team form around this project, and here’s a video with the latest updates.

Seriously, Do You Want This?

It was very expensive to sponsor this little exercise and proof of concept development. But the project is far from complete. Which means we’ll have to spend a lot more in order to bring the app to life. We have decided that IF we complete development on the iPhone app it will be free; however, as a business, it simply doesn’t make sense for us to do this if the demand isn’t there. We can put the resources into the development of other more widely requested features.

So if you really want us to commit the resources to continuing the iPhone app development now is the time to demonstrate it. Leave a comment below, or retweet this article. Based on the feedback I see, we’ll decide to move forward or not. I think we can all agree that if we don’t see enough interest in taking 5 seconds to respond to this post, people are not going to put forth the effort to download the app.

    Woopra is an awesome monitoring tool, I love it! I’d really appreciate to be able to have a look on my website stats on the road. So, please do it! ‘Cause you gotta do what you gotta do! :)

    Live view and a brief analysis view would suite my needs.

    This would be a great thing for us. It probably wouldn’t be a great thing for family vacations because I would always be checking. Woopra can be addictive. :)

    Right now I VPN and then VNC to a desktop from my iPhone to see Woopra. That’s a lot of touches and waits. An app would make it much easier. I would love such an app!

    Funny, just LAST NIGHT while out at dinner I found myself WISHING there was a Woopra iPhone ap so I could see what was going on with our webiste after a big marketing campaign. PLEASE MAKE ONE!

    I think an iPhone app would be perfectly complimentary with the WordPress 2 and Twitter apps. Since Woopra gives real time info, you could publish a blog post, tweet it out to twitter land, and see the response on Woopra. All done while on the road. Awesome.

    In a word: Yes!

    I often have to travel during the day and want to see how the site is performing from wherever I am. Generally there’s wi-fi so an app that utilizes data network and wi-fi would be ideal. It would certainly take a load off my mind while I was away from the computer if I could just jump into the app and check how things are going.

    I’ve been just looking into Woopra as an alternative for Analytics and I think I will go for Woopra as my prefered analytics program. In that case I will be using the iPhone app on a regular basis and will also recommend it to my clients.
