The urls on my site use an encryption method that uses both upper and lower case. In the woopra control panel it makes everything lowercase which really throws off the page that it links to. Is there a way that you guys can keep the urls the same as they should be?

My question is: Is there any privilidge to get approved by woopra much faster as my 2 websites already approved? Where can I get invitation code? Please help....

i'm assuming that, when you view the "today page views" item in the ticker along the bottom of the woopra client, it is comparing how many visitors have visited the site between 12:01am and the current time, compared to how many visited in the last 24 hours (please do correct me if i'm wrong)

of course this means that, unless i view the ticker at, like, 11:45pm, that red arrow showing a drop of 92.5% visitation is gonig to be out of whack. perhaps it should compare *yesterday's* totals with the average of the preceding week or something?

Did you notice that in the Analytics section under the Referrers tab you can see a detailed breakdown by the type of referrer sending traffic to you?

One thing I always wanted to know was how much traffic was coming from Feed readers? Well, we've built this tracking in, so now you can help make Woopra more accurate by adding to our list of Web based Feed Readers (we can't track the stand-alone software).

Here are the sites we have slated to aggregate into the Feeds tab:

feedburner.com

tagsy.com

feedmeme.com

newzcrawler.com

newsgator.com

My main issue is that I'm not sure 1) what to be looking for or 2) the best way to give my feedback. As someone else mentioned, forums aren't the best tool for bug reporting, and personally I haven't found most of the problems other users seem to. As a beta tester, I feel like I'm not holding up my end of the bargain by really reporting on issues with the software, so I was wondering if there were some sort of instructions the developers could give beta testers regarding what they'd like us to be looking at and fiddling with specifically.

The whole purpose of a beta demo of a product of this nature is to show how great it will be on release in order to entice folks to purchase it, to show the users how wonderful your customer service is, and to address and squash the odd bug. In the event of a free product the goal is much the same, to show you how great it is and that you can't live without it.

It's all about marketing and demoing your future product to the masses in order to create hype as well as word of mouth advertisement. This is the stage at which word of mouth advertising can make or break you.

While I think the concept behind Woopra is great, so far I haven't seen anything to make me think its worth a darn.

Firstly, it doesn't work.. I have installed the product exactly as the instructions say, as well as installed the client. The client appears to function but only a hand full of "hits" are trickling in.. When my other logging tools as well as my own testing of my log files show that a lot more hits are coming in. (Domain aliasing doesn't appear to work what so ever.)

That could be forgiven or called a bug if there was a method by which we could address such issues or ask questions.

The email that I received with my enable codes said to post on the forums ... which I have done, but no official replies have come in. Ever. It appears that no questions are answered on the forums PERIOD. Browse the other questions and count how many are actually addressed by a mod or a woopra employee..etc..

So clearly the forums aren't the right place to ask questions.

In order to cover all my bases I also sent an email directly to the folks at woopra and copied myself asking some of the same questions I have, and that I have seen on the forums..

Nothing. No reply.

If the purpose of a beta program is to show folks how hot your product is -- how poor does it make your product look then if it doesn't work the way you say it should, and you don't ever answer questions?

So secondly, the customer service appears to be non-existant and thirdly, bugs galore which should have been addressed via the internal alpha, during the QA process or prior to beta at the very least.

The experience I am taking away from this is a poor one. Why would I use Woopra? Why would I suggest to others that they need to use it? In fact, why would I not tell others I know in the industry to avoid it completely? etc..

If you want woopra to be a success you have to bend over backwards to your users, and do it now.

More over you should do it such that when the product does go live I can tell folks "sure it has some initial issues, but man their tech support was on the ball!".. I can't say that now. As it stands now your complete lack of support is going to doom your product.

At this point, as an average user all I can say is to others who ask is that it's not a good service because it doesn't work, and there appears to be no way to address the issues.

I welcome official comments -- though for some reason I feel like this thread will get deleted..

So I finally get an email that my site has been approved to try Woopra Beta but when I go to the Woopra Analytics page on my site I get this error...

"An error occured, please try again later!"

Is this an error on my site or is this a Woopra server error or what?

Seeing how I can't find anything about this error anywhere on the site I fear that it's my site. Keep in mind that I have had to install newer plugins since I first installed Woopra 3 weeks ago because of errors I would get telling what line the error was on. Now it tells me to try again latter. Sorry if I sound like I am rambling but I have been on the edge of my seat waiting to be approved only to hit another road block.

From everything I have been seeing and hearing woopra is a great application and can't wait to use it.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.

Can anyone please tell me why it does not count the visits from the subdomain? The plugin is correctly inserted (wordpress) in the three and also the ID for each of them is correct.
