Using the 1.2 Windows download and Woopra WP plugin 1.3.4:

1) When I run the client, Woopra is rarely able to connect to my sites right away, sitting in 'Connecting' mode for some time, and then usually timing out. In fact, most of the time that I have Woopra running, it's in Connecting mode.

2) I've yet to see Woopra stay logged in for more than 5 minutes. Usually it lasts less than a minute or two.

Both these issues smack of bandwidth problems. It seems to me that Woopra is ultra-sensitive to network connections, much more than anything else that I'm using like FileZilla or Snoop, the live gadget for Reinvigorate. It would nice to see if there was a way to lower this sensitivity.

What's the point of having notification alerts if I can't let Woopra run all the time?

I don't have a wordpress blog but an ecommerce store. I have added the supplied code to my template (right underneath the Google Analytics code which works fine) but I see no data in my desktop woopra app. It connects fine and says that it is showing data from my website but my site shows no visits.

It's been four days since I installed Woopra. I've only have 5 visits in that time (unless I had a heap on the one day I didn't look), but whenever I try to look at anything other than the overview tab in Analytics, (or tagged visitors), I get the message:
"Oops, no data to show :(". Why, after four days, don't I have anything AT ALL?

Hi

I've been trying unsuccessfully, since Woopra 1.0 to use the client software at work on our corporate network. (I'm on the NHS's N3 network in the UK for any that know about it)

I am told by our IT guys that they are not actively blocking ports (other than MSN) so as far as they are concerned there is no problem with their network.

Unfortunately though, Woopra still fails to connect to my site at work. The Blog and Adverts appear and it shows me as logged in. But the site just shows "Connecting" for ever.

I really like Woopra and it works fine at home. But does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening at work?

For the record, at home where it works, I use a OSX Leopard. At work, where it doesn't, I use WinXP.

Hi all,

Today, and a strange automatic logout from Woopra client, I no longer see my website when I log in through the client. The only thing I see is another site which I am shared access to (not mine). My site however, still shows up in the members area.

Any clue what's going on?

Yesterday I started to receive the following message: "Servers are down for maintenance, you may want to retry connecting later. Sorry for the inconvenience."

I fully understand the need for servers to be taken down for maintenance from time to time, but is there somewhere I can find any information about the planned length of the downtime?

I have the latest Wordpress plug-in installed on my Wordpress 2.6.1 site. However, it's reporting 0 activity.

I suspect that this may at least in part due to a typo on my part of the domain/site which was approved just this week. I intended to register http://technopodge.com but fat-fingered it and instead registered http://techopodge.com (no "n"), which I subsequently registered and is pending approval.

However since both domains point to the same site, I used the tracking/api code for techopodge.com when I installed the plug-in.

However, regardless of whether or not I access the site with the "primary" domain technopodge.com or the alias domain techopodge.com -- Woopra still reports 0 activity.

I suspect my typeo maybe the root cause, and that the Woopra backend server simply can't understand the mismatched domain / tracking code.

Assuming that is the case, the simple cure maybe for you to approve the pending request for http://technopodge.com, and delete the "typoed" techopodge.com

Hopefully this can be done quickly? I'm super-eager to explore the power of Woopra on my new site.

OK, I'm totally stumped. After having issues, trying all the suggested fixes and still getting nowhere with the Woopra Wordpress plugin, I totally removed it from my site (http://lebuzz.info).

However, after installing the Wordpress plugin, I also started having issues with the Windows version of Woopra: it logs me in but connection to the website doesn't work anymore. I tried everything I could think of over the past week, with no success.

1) Removed Woopra entirely from my computer, downloaded the Windows version and installed. Neither desktop or quickstart icons appear, although I select that option. However, Woopra does open up, shows me as logged in, then attempts to connect for the one website I have. Connection never happens and I get thrown back to login screen.

2) Going online, to the Woopra site, under the Member tab, if I go to check stats, there's absolutely nothing showing.

OS: Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 2

Let me explain what just happened...

A visitor came on the site and stayed for ten pages and then obviously went off for about a minute. While the visitor was off the site, I realized who it was and tagged the visitor in Search. The visitor came back on for one page. In Live, the visitor's tag "took." Looking at Search, the 10 visit visit was not tagged, but the 1 visit visit was...even though it is the same person with the same ip address. I went to Analytics and it tells me that the visitor was on our site THREE times this morning. I checked Search and the visitor was only on twice. Something doesn't jive!

Since the last upgrade, Woopra often doesn't start anymore. I'll click on the icon to start it up and the process flashes briefly in the task manager and then goes away. On a reboot it'll start fine again. Quite annoying.

I noticed that my computer goes into standby once and a while. Perhaps that could be confusing woopra...

When I launch the Woopra client in Vista this morning, it downloads an update and then tells me that "Woopra was not able to launch the update installer." It says to go to http://www.woopra.com/members/download.jsp to download the new version, but that just takes me to a 404 page.

I *did* re-download and install the main install file from the main Download page, but it still tries to update every time I run the software. And even if I cancel the update immediately, it continues to try in the background *and* to retry over and over and over as I try to login.

I'm stuck.

Hi!
My time zone is -3 and I already set that option in my site profile.
But Woopra desktop is showing it wrong.

Right now it's 12 am here, but Woopra desktop it's showing "hourly" traffic from 1am, 2am and 3am - so I guess it's 3am in the program.

How can I fix this? I realized this right now, so I guess all my stats are messed up :(
thanks in advance, and please bear my Englihs :)

The new RC looks much better than version 1.1, Great job. I have found a couple of problems involving site links within the stats both within the Windows software and online.

First, the problem seems to manifest itself differently between sites and Woopra servers. Here's the problem.

On one of my two Woopra'd sites, http://just-thinkin.net and under the "Live" tab, clicking the links to visited posts or the main page of the site itself brings up the following: "justhinkin netnull" in my ISP's search page. Clicking on the same link in "Search" (recent visitors), the Dashboard and in "Analytics" (pages visited) takes you to the correct post or page.

For the second site however, http://www.greenmtngeek.com, it's a bit different. Clicking a link to any post or the main page in the "Live" view comes up again with my ISP's search page containing the following in the search field: "greenmtngeek" (no "netnull" displayed this time but the end results are ultimately the same. However, clicking on a link to a post anywhere else within the Woopra software takes me only to the main page of the site, not to the actual post indicated within the link. So clicking on a link such as "...greenmtngeek.com/*date*/*some-post/", takes me to the main page of the site, not the post.

Hi...

If I tag a visitor in "live" the tag does not hold. However, if I tag the same visitor in "search" the tag holds.

Anyone else having this problem?

I'm having an installation problem, when trying to install on my Win Vista x64 it isnt reconizing any of my JRE's or JDK installations and wont proceed after it asks me to locate it on my system and I do.
I'm trying to install the Woopra 1.1.2.2 beta version , and have the java 1.6.0_7 & java 1.6.0_10 beta, does anyone else have this problem or could someone please direct me to a solution to this? thank you.
