Hi all

I was a bit worried Woopra was not getting all my hits so I installed Google Analytics's a few days ago.

I would like to re-assure readers that, in my case, both Google and Woopra give very similar numbers!

My site is wowYT, a YouTube portal, and I'm getting on ave just over a 1000 hits a day.

I think in 99% of the cases you can trust Woopra!

BTW I'm not a Woopra employee!

Daz.

A similar mistake with the documented number of alltime visitors or hints I could watch with my websites, too. The first 3 weeks from start all seemed to be right, but after around 3 weeks only half of the quantities as before were showed. If I make the sum of all days, the number is right, if I take the number of alltime visitors, then there is a mistake.

Today's starts are remarkably off.

Statcounter shows 443 visitors as of 9PM PST.

Woopra shows only 147 visitors as of 9PM PST. (33%)

Yesterday Woopra showed zero visitors, while Statcounter showed 475.

Something is seriously wrong under the hood.

10/8 stats for me show 195 visitors per StatCounter, and 130 visitors per Woopra, as of 1PM PST . 33.3 percentage points off.

Of course for all I know StatCounter is wrong and Woopra is more accurate, but in the past StatCounter gave me feedback comparable to other stat programs for Wordpress.

I was experiencing the same issue, but the last three days have been only one or two visitors off.

Whatever the Woopra team is doing, it fixed the stats for 10/5, 10/6, & 10/7 for me.

Using StatCounter and Woopra, on Wordpress 2.6.2 with the Wordpress plugin 1.3.6.

Looking at a week's worth of stats,

Statcounter reports 10,844 page views, while Woopra reports 9934 page views. That's Woopra reporting 91.6% of StatCounter's vews - close enough I suppose. The java limitation could be responsible for that 8.4 percentage point difference.

If you want the day-to-day comparisons, let me know.

Now comes a big discrepancy. Statcounter reports 4375 unique visitors in the same week, while Woopra reports 3214 unique visitors in the same time period. That's Woopra counting 73.5% of StatCounter's numbers, a whopping 27.5 percentage point difference.

Just reporting my data.

If you want the day-to-day comparisons, just let me know.

Woopra is telling me that I've had say 200 page views, but than shows that only one page was visited 4 times.... better explained here: http://www.woopra.com/forums/topic/number-of-pageviews-038-visits-do-not-match-my-content

Hi.
I have the same problem.(bear with my bad english)

Klient 1.2 BETA
I run it on to different systems,(Win Vista Home 32 & Win Vista Ultimate 64)

There is a difference in the number of users, which shows on both systems, so it must be the server data thats wrong. Woopra shows less users. And as others describe I too often get visitor entries out of the blue on pages normally reached through other pages.

Another problem I have is the time settings, as visits in a recent visitor search come up with wrong timesettings. Mostly it's one our late. In Live the timesettings are correct.
This morning I even got a user visit reported in a visitor search, that is noted to visit my page in 14 hours. It says the visitor has visited my page for 2 min 30 sek, and made four actions. At 10.52 PM. Yet this was recorded before a record of a visit 4.29 this morning.(Denmark)

Regards
Lars

I'm afraid it's getting worse :(
Yesterday I did a test with a friend. We kept in contact via Skype while he visited my site http://www.basles.be.
It took 3 minutes before he showed up in the Woopra client. Only 60% of the pages he visited showed in the client.

Today I have no stat at all. But I'm sure I had visitors as some of them contacted me through the contact page.

I think the woopra code isn't always loading (quickly enough).
I followed a visitor today:

Page 2 is only accessible through page 1. I saw the visitor on page 2, but according to woopra he didn't visit page 1.
Later on, the visitor clicked an exit link to my other site. It took about 1 min before the woopra client showed the visitor on the other website.

I'm running the Mac client on a 2.33 GHz MacBook Pro, WordPress plug-in 1.3.4 and manual Javascript code (running on a couple of pages outside the WordPress installation).

Fri Sept 26 I had no stats and could only see visitors live (still no one showing up for that day).

Sat Sept 27 Everything back to normal (with no intervention on my part).

Sun Sept 28 Stats and Analytics data, but nothing showing up under "My Content" under Dashboard.

WordPress stats reflect the same thing. Checking stats here on the Woopra site (under Home) have never worked.

Vast discrepancies between Google Analytics and Woopra on a day-to-day basis, but when you compare a span of days between both, they come out roughly the same (+/- 100 visits). I'm willing to blame G.A. for lumping visits on the wrong day for that one.

Today's issues with the Woopra client: Page views are about inline but Woopra is only reporting 1/2 the visitors being recorded by Statcounter.

In addition, I'm seeing almost daily misrepresentations of search results under the My Content section of the Dashboard with wildly inaccurate over reporting which then appears to clear up at some point later.

I'm also seeing some significant discrepancies as well. On Friday, Woopra and Statcounter disagreed by a small margin with Woopra reporting a few more visitors and a few less page views.

BUT, for this Saturday and Sunday, Woopra is under reporting visitors by over 125 visitors each day compared to Statcounter! And page views are also being under reported although not by the same amount. It's more like 75-100.

I understand differences in the way analytics packages report but to go from almost agreeing with Statcounter to under reporting by 100+ visitors a day suggests a problem...

I like the idea of Woopra, but 3 weeks without stats makes it a waste of my HD space :(

For the last two days Woopra is saying I have very few visitors, which is not consistent with Google and my past history. Does anyone know what is going on?

Counts each day, all day, but when 24:00 comes around, I exit Woopra and come back, everything for the day is gone. Just started on the 24th...

Hi,

could you please update your plugin and use some other get variable than 'key' to transport your api key. This leads to collidation with several other plugins as the variable is kind of "gerneral". For example the subscription manager of the famous 'subscribe to comments' plugin doesn't work. I also informed the author of that plugin to use some more individual variable.

Thanks!
