I've got 2 sites going through Woopra - 1 is working fine, but the other is not registering visitors. No changes have been made on my side. Any ideas? The site that is no longer being tracked is http://infotainmentnews.net

Thanks in advance

Ongoing server maintenance will be happening for a while as we improve the server code. Woopra is in beta testing and that includes the servers. :D Stay tuned.

However, the server issue has nothing to do with approvals. Approvals are on a first come, first serve basis with those who have signed up for Woopra. We now have 40,000 beta testers using Woopra, and as soon as more resources are available to add more beta testers, we will be approving more signups in batches. Thanks for your patience.

Fair enough, sounds cool. Is this maintenance over yet though? Because I'm waiting for my site to be approved.

Thank you for your feedback. Remember that Woopra is in beta and by using it, you are a part of the beta team and downtime, lost stats, and such are part of the process as we develop Woopra. Luckily, these are few and they only impact a limited number of users. We are working with Layered Tech and 3Tera and moving all of our servers to theirs. They work on the Cloud or Grid, which allows distribution across servers. There will be downtime during the transition, so your continued patience is appreciated.

We are also working hard to speed up Woopra so the response time and bandwidth foot print is very minimal, unlike our competitors. This also means temporary downtime as we upgrade.

Thanks for helping us improve Woopra with your continued support and reports. It means a lot to us and we're working hard to keep these at a minimum, but that's part of beta testing.

Surely you could distribute the statistics gathering across the available servers? If you have 10 servers online, and 100 accounts, then 10 are tracked per server, then if 2 servers go offline, the 100 accounts are then distributed across the 8 servers.

If you're taking servers offline and not tracking stats whilst those servers are down, you're losing a large chance of getting my, and others business when you start to charge.

I agree to the above about missing x hours causing huge differences in your stats. Also above it says to notify you if my stats are down for 24 hours... mine have been. I got home from work last night about the same time and stats were down. They are still down. My domain is blueballdomains.com if that helps you find my server.

Can't stats be recorded on another server when one is down for maintenance? If stats for several hours can be lost due to regular maintenance, the whole service becomes unreliable and thus close to useless.

Currently, when the servers are down, live requests to your websites are not being tracked.

We do have plans to address application/service availability and to provide "visibility" for server maintenance downtimes.

Is there anyway to check maintenance schedules to see if there is a possible issue? I run two websites. Currently one is being tracked, while my bigger site isn't showing up as a tab in the client and says no info in the website interface.

We are continually working on the servers to fix bugs, improve scalability, add features, etc.

When your website stats are housed on the affected servers, one of three things will happen:

1. If you only have one website being tracked by Woopra, when you log in, you will get the Server under maintenance message.
2. If you have more than one website and if the websites stats are housed on different servers, then only the website(s) stats that is (are) NOT affected will appear as a tab in your Woopra client. The affected website tabs will disappear for the duration of the maintenance period.
3. If you have more than one website and all your websites are on the same Woopra server, then you will get the Server under maintenance message.

No, there is no notification of upcoming server maintenance. We are working on that.

No, we cannot provide an estimate as to when the server(s) will be up again. Again, we are working on that. However, if your Woopra website stats is down for over 24hrs, something is wrong. Please check in with us.

We do appreciate your working with us to improve the service.
