I think it would be great if woopra could be set to differentiate between users and bots, and give you the option how to show it. One mode could be Users only, the other Bots only and the third Users and Bots. For example if I wanted to know my TOTAL visitors it would tell me i had 150 users, 21 of those were bots. I would also like to be able to track bots more to see how often they visit and which pages they visit. This would be great for watching what googlebot does on your site.

Dear Elie K,
I am the OP on this thread. I just updated the plugin to 1.3.6 on my site http://www.ygbc.org. The behaviour has not changed with the new version. None of the stats show in the admin console under Wordpress 2.5.1 however they show fine on my other site http://www.yokosukachurch.com which is hosted on the same server and uses the same version of wp, etc.

I am changing the thread from resolved to "not resolved" please let me know if you need more details about my setup. Many, many people are waiting to see a reliable plugin for wordpress! I have 5 sites waiting for it myself - only one of them works. Wish someone could tell me why...

Regards,

Hi there!
I've created a lil' banner which might be of use for what you were asking for. Here's the URL to where it's being hosted:
http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh271/nifty_touch/Woopra_Banner.jpg
I guess it's not as fantastic as it would be, had it been developed by a graphics designer, but to me it's just fine for an amateur digital developer.
It was created on Gimp and I'm making it availabe under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 United States License. If you want to contact me you can do so at valtemand@gmail.com.
Enjoy,
Nicolas
PS: you can see how it looks like on the right side bar on my blog http://vientodelescarpado.blogspot.com

Hey
I've added the woopra code to my phpBB3 forum at the overall footer, and I can see the traffic as fine.
Now when I go to visitors and one of my members logged in to the forum I can see the user name instead of the word visitor.
Now when I select this visitor (member) and hit the link for Start a Conversation I found that the other side telling me that no pop up or no acceptance button and nothing appear at the other side at all.
So please I want to know why such a thing happening ?
And does there is any thing I should do to let the members or guests got that pop up window or request to accept the conversation request?

Thanks

Using the 1.2 Windows download and Woopra WP plugin 1.3.4:

1) When I run the client, Woopra is rarely able to connect to my sites right away, sitting in 'Connecting' mode for some time, and then usually timing out. In fact, most of the time that I have Woopra running, it's in Connecting mode.

2) I've yet to see Woopra stay logged in for more than 5 minutes. Usually it lasts less than a minute or two.

Both these issues smack of bandwidth problems. It seems to me that Woopra is ultra-sensitive to network connections, much more than anything else that I'm using like FileZilla or Snoop, the live gadget for Reinvigorate. It would nice to see if there was a way to lower this sensitivity.

What's the point of having notification alerts if I can't let Woopra run all the time?

I manually added my javascript to track our Ning community site. That part was easy - added to the Analytics section where you manage the site; also where I have Google Analytics that are indeed tracking info. Alas, no stats are showing up for woopra.

Do I need to also install a plugin for Ning? If so, which one?

On that Search page, I can find my 892 visitors from the Netherlands.

folks,

seems to me, that the browser- and plattform-detection does not work correctly. My stats show 1 visitor with plattform »Apple Mobile« (which probably means iPhone) but no entry for Safari (neither mobile or standard version) but only entries for Firefox 2 and 3 and IE 6 and 7. As well: all other plattform entries claim to be Wndows (XP and Vista), where as the whole content and all searches for my site are Mac OS centered.

best regards

Stefan

Finally, I have results! They're a bit funny though. I think the solution was that I had to add a 'type="text/css"' to the second javascript bit of the code.

I think I installed everything correctly but not getting any visit or page view numbers. I know it is being visited because of awstats that has been tracking for several years. I entered the code in several pages. Not sure where to enter the ID mentioned in the instructions. Any help will be appreciated. website=quickcogo.com

I'm really starting to get cranky! How long do I have to wait before I even get stats from the FIRST DAY? Live stats work fine! Yet the desktop app WON'T SHOW THE ANALYTICS!

It's been four days since I installed Woopra. I've only have 5 visits in that time (unless I had a heap on the one day I didn't look), but whenever I try to look at anything other than the overview tab in Analytics, (or tagged visitors), I get the message:
"Oops, no data to show :(". Why, after four days, don't I have anything AT ALL?
