The code that is generated to be inserted into the member's footer is wrong. Your present code leaves out the "type" attribute.

Here is your code:

<script type="text/javascript">
var woopra_id = 'xxxxxxx';
</script>
<script src="http://static.woopra.com/js/woopra.js"></script>

Here is the corrected code:

<script type="text/javascript">
var woopra_id = 'xxxx';

I have been noticing this as well. For example my sister lives about 5 miles from me but Woopra reports her IP being in a city thats well over 500 miles from where she is. I have other instances of know visitors with known locations showing up wrong. I am guessing that this is due to where Woopra gets the data from as other IP geo-location sites report the locations correctly, but it is annoying to have to check them manually.

Yeah agree completly. The installation is quite missleading. At the end I uploaded only the "Woopra" folder and then it finaly worked.

But still no results ...

Would not it be an idea to put your plugin here http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ ?

Are you already running the other (old) Woopra plugin? I was, and was having this error. If you are, disable the other plugin and it should work.

Mine was the original(i think) php file in the root of my plugins that was just called woopra.php

Hope that helps

As mentioned before (http://www.woopra.com/forums/topic/wordpress-plugin-woo_widget-bug-causes-not-collecting-any-data) line 182 (was line 181 before plugin-upgrade) is buggy:

forces an int-cast. When you edit the options on the options-page website-id's bigger than 2147483647 are going to be stored as 2147483647 in the db. That line should read something like that:

update_option('woopra_website_id', $_POST['websiteid']);

I have installed the latest version of the Wordpress plugin, 1.3, and still have issues with it.

First, it's quite misleading that the download has to be done from the blog page and not the download tab. Just as a point of information to those unsure of which version you are downloading, 1.3 DOES say 1.3 in the zip file name. That's not the case of the file under the download tab.

Once I got over that and installed the plugin, it wasn't working. I checked the settings and, because of an issue with the previous version, I noticed it had changed the User ID, so I re-entered the proper ID.

With all that done, I still only get Your query returned 0 results. Gotta say it's becoming a bit frustrating...

Hi,

could you please update your plugin and use some other get variable than 'key' to transport your api key. This leads to collidation with several other plugins as the variable is kind of "gerneral". For example the subscription manager of the famous 'subscribe to comments' plugin doesn't work. I also informed the author of that plugin to use some more individual variable.

Thanks!

It's a great looking product, it's more fun to look at than GA as far as traffic information. But right now, GA can show me revenue, conversion rates, abandon, etc. A basic requirement for an ecommerce site. Looking forward to see how woopra presents $$'s along with the traffic eye candy.

I do get active tracking all day, event notifications, live views, Search, daily stats dashboard looks fine - everything. But when I shut down at night, then power back up in the AM... All is gone but a bunch of 0's.

I even went so far as to delete everything in the woopra folder under my username to see if it was a corrupt settings file or something - that didn't help...

OK. All references to public/private removed, the error disappears, BUT it simply seems to search for stats and comes back with 'Your query returned 0 results'... Close, but no cookies for you! ;)

After fixing the line 21 issue, using the added lines suggested earlier, I was having the issue of no date popup showing. Looking at the page source, I looked at it and it calls to load the javascript files from the woopra folder, under plugins, so I put all the plugin files in a woopra folder, in the plugins directory, and it brought me to the line 30 error. I'll take a look at that (possibly try removing the public/private mentions as suggested) and let you know how that goes.

Works for me, I see the country flag in the fourth column. I also deleted the test notification that Lorelle asked for and still see the flag in the fourth column. No change.

Running Windows XP with service pack 3, that just loaded yesterday.

Installed 1.3 and am finding the same issues. Unfortunately not only is there a difference between Woopra and other trackers I use, but my Wordpress tracker shows ZERO visitors over the last five days. The person above who mentioned that this started on Friday is right on target. That is when mine went bad. I also have the on again/off again problem with the desktop tracker. Once I actually watched as woopra added and then deleted visitors from several thousand to zero.

You had SUCH a good product! Why mess with it? Is there any way to get my old Woopra back?

I, too am running XP sp2. PLEASE do not make this a vista ap.

For all the hassles the wordpress 1.3 plugin took care of the main issues with 1.2 such as the line 21 and one 30 errors. So there is progress, but it is frustrating.

Actually I do think it's a javascript issue. Here's a question for you: I uograded Java some time over the weekend. Could it be that those of us who upgraded Java or were automatically upgraded are the problem?

I have downloaded and installed the latest plugin version. Unfortunately each time I try to add the site code from the members area it cannot be saved and I get another sequence (no idea from where is that)
[Sorry for the double posting but the first one was not under the proper category]
