We're aware of the column width resizing issue and are working on fixing this and a few other things people are reporting very soon. The joy of testing. :D

So you all got that with the RC, you have to download a new version of 1.3.1 and install it "fresh" so to speak. I recommend that you uninstall the other versions so you don't get confused and start the wrong one, which I've been doing today. :D

1.3.1 seems to be working ok - notifications are working. Still wish we could resize the analytics urls to be able to read them. Just downloaded, so can't tell yet if I have stuck visitors or the referrers automatically update.

Is the final version the one on the blog? That's the one I downloaded today, but saw the tweets asking for people who wanted the final version just a few hours ago. I'm still getting stuck visitors who I know are long gone, blank visitor id's, but the one thing I care about most (notifications) still isn't working. Nice to see the chat feature working, and like having my logo, etc. Even though I renamed the chat, my login name still shows as well. Anyway around that? Or at least make the user name more prominent than the login name? Customers will find that confusing wondering who the heck is talking to them when my login doesn't relate to my screen name.

also not fixed:

in live view, on pages tab, the total number of pages listed rarely matches the number of visitors live on the site in the upper left corner (reported this 2 or months ago)

just downloaded the 1.3 final that was just announced... and I updated my javascript to match what is in the Members area (hope that helps some!)

fixed:
Chat! I can actually chat with myself when I visit the page. Awesome!

Notifications seem to be coming thru in the first few minutes of testing.

Selecting a page name in the live view actually filters (wasn't in RC5)

Tho the analytics Referrers page name is still too short to read, you did add the hyperlink I asked for so you can click it.

Custom Analytics doesn't force disconnect - stays connected.

not fixed:

Still have stuck visitors, tho the numbers are now in the low teens instead of 20-30

still getting some visitors with no ID number

on the analytics - with the cool little new charts, unfortunately, I can't always read the page name or the search queries etc (the items in the first column), because it is too short and not resizable

on the analytics select a date range popup, and you pick the start date, the title doesn't change to 'pick the end date' - giving the user an uneasy feeling

when I click on the date range in the analytics to specify a different range, the date popup appears on the main monitor and not on the monitor where woopra is = making me move the mouse a lot to pick dates.

Well, that's the quick overview - this probably should be on a new thread eh? But it is late and I'm overdue for bed

GREAT job getting things cleaned up - still wish the stuck visitors was completely gone - that's my biggest dislike and is still causing me to be somewhat unhappy.

I just downloaded RC5 today; I'm on Windows, and also not getting any notifications. No sound, no popup, not listed in the notifications viewer section. Shoot - that alert notifies me when I have an incoming order :(

I agree with Planetmitch on the analytics - I can't read my referring urls. I can live without the graphs; they're distracting and taking up too much room that could be given to the url; the percentages of visitors, visits, pageviews is nearly impossible to read without a magnifying glass. If it remains with this layout, it'd be nice if we could at least read the full referring url by mousing over it.

this one is a bit way out there and probably really really low on the priority chart!

I have two monitors, the left one is where I put woopra client. the right one is the "main" monitor.

when I click on the date range in the analytics to specify a different range, the date popup appears on the main monitor and not on the monitor where woopra is = making me move the mouse a lot to pick dates.

again, just a nit!

on the analytics select a date range popup, and you pick the start date, the title doesn't change to 'pick the end date' - giving the user an uneasy feeling

LOL. Oh dear.

There have been DRASTIC changes since RC1 to now, all part of our master plan to ruin your lives and distract you from your real work. :D

Honestly, this is helping us tremendously. We're jumping on cockroaches everywhere with your direction.

Also, http://www.woopra.com/status/ listed server maintenance and updates, so that explains a few glitches along the server route in the past few hours. We'll be doing more as we implement your feedback.

And yes, there is a reward beyond what you will get in heaven for all this hard work. We'll have a ceremony and hand out some plagues that say "Woopra Member of the Year" to everyone. :D

Thanks so much. While I jest a little, this really does help us so much. We're moving as fast as we can with our small team and the shopping list is long.

@medalia - interesting - I guess we have different perceptions (or a different set of problems)... my last version was RC1 and many of the problems with RC1 haven't been fixed and I've got quite a list of new problems. I'm thinking RC5 is worse than RC1.

Hi...

Been using RC5 since Sunday. Some stuck visitors, but my main problem is that the visitor name (quick filter) in Search does not work.

All in all, an BIG improvement from last version, but still needs work.

I'm a bit confused by the notifications - I had some yesterday evening -but have had zero today

I tried creating a 'filter' (was this here before RC5?)... I don't know how to activate it once I've created it.

I tried typing what the filter built ("visit.timespent>20") in the filter box and I tried "filter:test" (test was the name of the filter) and neither seemed to have any impact on the list of users

in analytics > actions > popular pages - clicking on a page name takes me to this URL:

http://null/2009/07/new-training-final-cut-pro-for-photographers-featuring-canon-5d-mark-ii-workflow

obviously failing... 'null' where the blog.planet5D.com ought to be

in your recent blog post... you said: "Registrations and Call to Actions: If you have specific pages for registering users, sign ups for email notifications, newsletters, or other registration efforts, or you are promoting a specific page, you can track the activity on those pages via the Analytics > Pages panel and through custom reports created from the Dashboard > My Pages panel. Right click on the page name and choose Analyze to create a custom report for that page."

there isn't any page "analytics > pages"

I believe it is now "analytics > actions > Popular Pages etc

and, I cannot right click on any page name and have a popup menu for anything - there is no right click and choosing Analyze.

I just tried testing the notifications and they're not working or not consistent. I created a new one and visited the page several times, no alert

I visited a page with an old notification that was set and was not alerted

babyreflux, I'm not seeing fewer stuck visitors... I'm still up in the 20-30 range most of the time... yesterday, I was up to about 50 for a while.

Tho the little clock icon may help, it is only available on the visitors tab - while on the pages tab, I still have no clue as to which ones are 'stuck' unless I visually look at the time on the far right... and then it seems hit and miss and they're sure not sorted in any order. I'm often very interested in which pages are being most visited right now and so I stick to the pages tab.

Forgot to mention we are on Vista rather than mac like planetmitch.

Still getting the visitors without an ID so just receiving (11) for example.

Getting 'less' stuck visitors but that may just be coincidence - will have to study this for longer. The clock icon is working relatively well for us, maybe the odd one which gets confused, but on the whole looking better than before.

We have 3 different 'live-visitor tools' so it is interesting to compare the stats.

babyreflux, the clock icon doesn't always work - I just found one that viewed a page 1 minute ago, but has the clock... so they're not all 100% correct -- and another that is 2 minutes old that has the clock...

I am getting some notifications late in the day - haven't specifically tried to see if I'm getting ALL notifications

babyreflux, wow, I think you're right - i didn't see the little clock icon before.

If they can identify the stuck visitors, why are we still seeing them?

Looks like 'stuck visitors' have been given the little 'clock tag' on their ID to signify that hey are away.

Wonder at what point they get removed. The new (Xm Xs) feature under the time on site gives how long they have been on the page so why isn't the last page increasing in length of time if they are still on site?

still not sure how, but sometimes the live visitors list shrinks a bunch -this image shows only 9 visitors live but the counter shows 35

http://img.skitch.com/20090803-fbu1iaaspfxc6s6b5ercbdhwsr.jpg

restarting woopra showed me about 35 again. notice there were no 'filters' applied

I clicked on visitor history for a visitor only to find out that there are 3 IP addresses for this one visitor... not sure that makes sense to me

issues fixed:
I see the referrer counts are updating live on the dashboard now

issues not fixed from earlier releases:

the tabs at the top of the client view still don't show all my sites. And they aren't in sorted order.

number of visitors doesn't match total count in the pages list on the live view at all times.

still have 'stuck visitors'

still sometimes get the white screen at startup and have to manually kill woopra several times to get a good view

I agree with babyreflux - no notifications are coming thru

tried the chat tool - on mac - it tries to connect with me in both safari and firefox, but nothing ever comes thru and clicking the buttons does nothing.

http://img.skitch.com/20090803-f7es53p49ijcbwsamqsh3h5qq7.jpg

oh, and I see the same visitor ID missing issue as babyreflux as well

Don't seem to be getting any notifications. Deleted all the existing ones and redid them in RC5 but still nothing. No sound no pop-up.

Also have some missing visitor ID's - http://www.picupine.com/edf7b8fx

Downloaded mac version of RC5

Filter on live view doesn’t work - everything is still listed

stuck visitors is still around

clicking on “Custom” in analytics causes disconnect every time

can't duplicated this one, but it happened... went to analytics and then came back to the live view... items messed up!
