I wanted to follow up on this. Indeed, the problem seemed to be my old templates and not woopra. After upgrading my old blogs to the newer template woopra seems to work as expected now.

Hi Dale,

Thanks for showing me to this thread.

It probably is something with your template. I have 3 different WP blogs and they are all being tracked just fine. My "only" problem is that it's the same domain so that it's total stats for all three blogs.

One other thought I had on this is that I'm using a different Wordpress template on my two non-woopra-functioning http://www.daledietich.com/x subpage blogs than I am for my http://www.daleisphere.com blog that is working and the wordpress instance I'm using for the http://www.daledietrich.com root domain instance which is also working.

The working template is much newer and efficient than the older one powering my original subpage blogs. I intend to migrate the new template to the older subpage blogs this week if I can. Perhaps that's where the problem lies.

I'll report back once I've tested this theory.

iamvi,

Thanks for getting back

That is exactly what I did. I downloaded the Wordpress plugin (woopra.php) and installed it on all three instances of Wordpress on that domain, one each at:

1. http://www.daledietrich.com/wp-content/plugins/woopra.php

2. http://www.daledietrich.com/imedia/wp-content/plugins/woopra.php

3. http://www.daledietrich.com/gaming/wp-content/plugins/woopra.php

I activated them all through their respective wordpress admin panels with the new daledietrich.com Website ID provided by wooppra on the members page.

The result is, as I mentioned above, only the first Wordpress instance above is tracked by woopra. This is the one I don't really care about (it dishes out my site's home page, my About page, Contact page and a few other flat pages).

The couple hundred hits a day I get from the actual blogs dished out by the 2nd and 3rd Wordpress isntances on the same domain listed above (using the same woopra code) are not tracked by woopra.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help.

dajad,

Woopra treats subdomain.domain.com as different from domain.com. However, your blogs are domain.com/gaming and domain.com/media. These are treated as subdomains by Woopra. These are considered subdirectories under the main domain.com. That's why when you try to submit daledietrich.com/gaming, it fails with the message "the website your provided is not available". Our current architecture only recognizes the main domain.com, not the subdirectories.

To track your /gaming and /media blogs, you need to put the Woopra tracking code on those pages. All stats for the blogs and the main domain will be tracked together.

Looks like I have the same problem as this guy did:

http://www.woopra.com/forums/topic/domain-problem#post-74

John P intervened and aprooved his subdomain blogs.

John, is there any chance you could approve my two blogs under the daledietrich.com comain at the URL's listed above? If you could only do one, I'd prefer the video game law blog before the iMedia law blog.

OK, I can update this. It appears woopra is working just fine for my 5 page 'blog' off my root domain at http://www.daledietrich.com . But this is NOT what I want. That Wordpress instance only serves up my main splash page, my 'About' page and a couple other professional info pages.

My main two, and largest, blogs which are located at:

http://www.daledieteich.com/gaming
http://www.daledieteich.com/imedia

are not registering with the code given to me by woopra for the daledietrich.com domain and woopra won't let me "Add a Website" for my two primary blogs mentioned above because it says:

"The website you provided is not available"

then it points back o daledietrich.com

Help! How can I get woopra to track my two main blogs where all the traffic is? I get virtually no traffic from the intro and about-type pages fed from the Wordpress instance on daledietrich.com and don't particularly even want/need analytics for those few pages.

I was delighted to get an email from woopra this morning telling me that I had been approved for blogs on my daledietrich.com domain. I have 3 there (well actually two but I also use Wordpress to manage my main non-blogging pages off the root domain.

Anyway, I've got a new tab in the desktop software for the new domain but after installing woopra on those three blogs (and inserting the code) in each I'm getting no stats in woopra.

Could it be that woopra can't handle content from three Wordpress blogs off one domain. Originally I tried to apply for a woopra account for each of my blogs at http://www.daledietrich.com but when I applied for the second (http://www.dalediettich.com/gaming) it already told me I had a pending application for the domain daledietrich.com - which was true.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a bug in the software? If you have more than one blog on one domain, as I do, can you use just one woopra code to track all three?

Note that I separately installed the woopra plugin on all three blogs on the daledietrich.com domain, and separately avtivated all three, but with the same code that woopra gave me for the daledietrich.com domain.

Ideally, I'd rather have woopra track all three blogs separately but that didn't seem possible.

Thanks for any ideas on how to proceed.

...Dale
