Right now on IPB (Invision Power Board) i use this on 2 sites event notifications work great for the forums index but anything after index.php does not work.

Example if i add /index.php to the event notifications anyone who visits the forum i get a notification which is perfect but anyone who visits "index.php?autocom=downloads" i still get the notification but only for the index.php nothing after,

My suggestion is making it so that it when a user puts in where it says "Page URL Contains" that it should be an exact string and that way the notification will only notify on that string and not everything thats similar to it.

    Just my 2 cents :P

  • I agree and we're not the only ones: http://www.woopra.com/forums/topic/missing-dynamic-parameters-from-url

Venom: We decided to group the pages by path -not by file- because the results in the analytics section became very very fragmented. Now, this resulted in the side-effect behavior that you described, And this is fixed in the next update, by allowing you to specify with parameters in the url are relevant, and which aren't.

...this is fixed in the next update...

Is there any news on the next update / when dynamic urls will be supported?
    Many thanks

I would like to see this resolved as well. Not getting the Querystrings is making the tracking rather useless.

Any creative workarounds would be appreciated as well.

    Thanks,

    Toine

Read my entry here for the "creative workarounds" you are talking about.

So now there's a new update around, and I've really looked forward to this one, because as stated by the admin above, correct URL tracking should now be possible.
So, has it been addressed? Because I don't see it...Or is there a setting I'm missing?

This still appears broken in the new release today.

I don't understand how 1.1 had it, but it has been broken in the 3 releases since.

I run a Zencart shop, and its template system ties all the pages to "/index.php?main_page=whatever_section" which isn't great, but I used to be able to track when users hit the shopping cart using the whole URL string - now it wont work at all.

Even more bizarre is that if I use the 'Page Title' field and add "Shopping Cart" (which only appears on the cart page) then I get a notification on EVERY page view regardless of where they are in the site.

Hope this gets fixed in the full/paid-for release.

Am I right to notice there still is no support for these dynamic addresses? PLEASE can we have this!

Other than that, I think Woopra is cool and well done to the developers who have no doubt worked very hard to bring this stats system to us.
