I am not a big Mac person, so I am going to ask a basic question.
Why would a company use anything other then a DMG installer to distribute client software?
I had a Mac developer insist on releasing a product in a zip file, and I couldn't understand the logic behind his reasons. With almost zero Mac experience I was able from start to end create a custom DMG, with icons / logo / and application in under an hour. So simple.
So why zip over dmg?
