How close are the indicated cities?

Hi there everyone
I just got approved a few days ago and am wondering how close the said cities the visitors are. I am in Fort St. John, B.C. Canada. When I am on my site, from home it gets the IP right but says I am in Calgary Alberta, 1000 Km south east. When I am at work, which is Taylor B.C. 15 Km south it gets the IP right but says I am in south Surrey B.C., 1200 Km south of here. Other analitcs like Google and Feedburner get it right. Anyone else see this?
