    Are there any code tags for https connections? I'm trying to track my site that has a secure login but when I do I get an SSL error because I am loading some things over an unsecure connection. I tried just doing: https://static.woopra.com/js/woopra.js but it didn't work.

    I decided to try hosting the JS file on our server and see how that worked out. It still tracks just fine and we also don't get a browser error for loading Secure and Non-secure content together but the hits on SSL secured pages still don't track at all.

    I agree, an https option is a must! The best would be if the install script detects connection type and loads the js file from http / https depending on that...(just like the new GA code does)
    (a SSL cert cost as much as $144/year from DigiCert.com)

    This is how GA does it:
    var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www.");
    document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E"));

    Am I to understand that https pages do not track?

    I just set everything up but I get no stats =x

  • You can track your ssl pages but the visitor will get a warning. Looks very bad. I'm loving woopra so far and would pay for it if it has https support.

    Can anyone there give us an idea why this hasn't been added? It seems to be such a small change.

  • HTTPS tracking feature is almost done. We're just doing some thorough testing on it.

    We promise that HTTPS is a high priority feature! We will keep you updated.

    Plus, we will send emails to people willing to test it. If you have SSL on your website and the courage to test this feature, please drop a line in this thread and we will email you as soon as we're ready.

    EDIT: Let me add that you don't have to provide your email address publicly. Just drop a line here that you are interested!

    Is there a list of new features for secure traffic? What's new to test besides a certificate and port 443.

    This is a huge deal for us. Our customers only view our sites over HTTPS, and we are happy to pay for the ability to use a HTTPS enabled Woopra. What is the latest progress? Elie K suggested a month ago that it was nearly done :) - We'd be happy to test if it speeds things up.

    I had a short mail conversation with Vi Vu (yes it's his/her name) on Woopra support today, I asked when and referred to this thread.

    This is the response I got (close to nothing in my opinion):

    "Kalle,

    We will release an SSL version. Unfortunately, I don't know when. Please bear with us and check our Blog for updates.

    Thanks,
    Vi"

    Standard response from most developers, I guess we just need to be patient.

    It's a great looking product, it's more fun to look at than GA as far as traffic information. But right now, GA can show me revenue, conversion rates, abandon, etc. A basic requirement for an ecommerce site. Looking forward to see how woopra presents $$'s along with the traffic eye candy.

    Please add me to the beta test group for this HTTPS update as well.

    All of the parts of our site that are important to track utilize HTTPS... Without the HTTPS support, using Woopra is like driving a 250mph Ferrari that is speed limited to 20mph... looks flashy but doesn't get you anywhere :-)

    Otherwise you guys have done an AWESOME job with this tool!!!
