I don't use any off the shelf blog/forum software.

Will woopra still work with me?

What features will I lose / or gain?

As far as Im informed, you will lose nothing.

It doesnt matter whether you use a OS software/script. Its a matter of visitors on your sites. So you can practicly have a blank html page with the woopra script in :P

Although keep in mind that the current woopra version might not show the full url on where the user is. E.g if your website is mysite.com/index.php?page=3322 - it might not show page=3322 but it will however show the title of the current page the visitor is browsing.

This issue with not showing the full url has been noticing by 2 or 3 people here. But thats about a small detail I think, cuz you are going to be able to see the title of the page anyways, and this issue miight not even affect ur site.

    Sounds great.

    My servers are all linux/apache.

Logs are all stored at woopra correct? The client just accesses woopra servers? I'm guessing it was cheaper to build client software then make it all web based?

Yes I think its stored at Woopra engines/servers. There has been some data(statistics) lost after latest client update, so that should confirm it :)

I use this on a homebrew site -- not a blog or anything else. You really just have to add the script to the bottom of every page.

It's easy if you use templates, but even without you can probably find a text editor that will Find/Replace across an entire site. I searched for </body> and replaced it with the script + </body>

On Mac Os X I recommend Text Wrangler for this task.

Yep, I added the code to my footer. But I quickly hit the 10,000 page views so I had to remove.
