  • I have signed up by clicking the link in email to confirm invitation code, but my website was not approved automatically like it says on the 'add a website' page. When I revisit the page or try to enter my code manually, I get an error that says 'invalid confirmation code'. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks.

  • There may be some confusion here. The confirmation code to validate your Woopra account is a very long, alphanumeric string. In contrast, the website invitation code is only six or seven characters long. Do you have a website invitation code? As far as I know, there were only 200 of these given out at WordCamp Dallas on 3/30.

  • Yes, there is confusion. Thanks for clearing it up. The number was a long string.

When I got to the site, it seemed like it would be very fast and easy to start using Woopra. The message on the signup form said that 'by signing up, you will be able to add websites and download the Woopra client'. The FAQ say to simply create an acct and add websites. They also say that each approved website is assigned an ID that requires approval. I thought approval was part of the signup process. Something like verifying that the code was added to the website like google analytics does. My mistake.

Still, I wish it would have more clear and obvious. I would have waited before installing the developer version of java6 on my mac and the wordpress plugin.

  • Lori,

I'm sorry about the confusion. We have kind of been assuming that people knew how crazy things have been over here and didn't think to make mention of the delay anywhere.

Because of your suggestion we are going to put a notification on the Sign Up page to avoid this issue in the future.

I'm sorry that you went through the trouble of installing the client and plugin already. Please give just a week more and we'll begin approving all of the ones in the queue.

    Thanks!

    John

  • Thanks for your reply. As it turned out, java 6 did not make my mac explode. Mostly was just frustrated because a quick and easy thing took so long. Glad you will put a notification for other folks. In any case, I am still excited to try it out when it is ready.
