So I installed woopra fine on my machine (windows xp, sp2, etc. etc) and my buddy has an identical machine and I installed it just like I did on mine... but when we try to run woopra, we get:

    Exception in thread "Thread-7" java.lang.NullPointerException
    at sun.plugin.util.AnimationPanel.createTranslucentImage(Unknown Source)
    at sun.plugin.util.AnimationPanel.createGradientShapeImage(Unknown Source)
    at sun.plugin.util.AnimationPanel.initBackground(Unknown Source)
    at sun.plugin.util.AnimationPanel.preloadResources(Unknown Source)
    at sun.plugin.util.AnimationPanel.doPaint(Unknown Source)
    at sun.plugin.util.AnimationPanel.run(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

I installed the latest java prior to installing woopra, so I'm not sure what the issues is.

I get the same. I had the previous version installed and when I loaded it, it told me there was an update. The update wouldn't install, so I uninstalled and re-downloaded the latest version from this site. When I tried to open that, I get the above error.

    Actually, here's the exact text:

    at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
    at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)

    at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)

Seeing as that post links to another completely different java issue... and the "answer" to that issue is a now-outdated version of woopra... I don't see how that would help =\

On a separate note, however, how did you get an avatar, iamvi?

    About the java error,

Same problem here. Java error with the latest Java installed. Anyone has a solution for this?

Later edit: The download recommended at the link 2 comments up solved the problem for me.

Well. I used the link from the post a few comments above. It worked last night, but just now I tried to launch Woopra again and again I get an error.

As soon as I load, it tries to download an update and the update doesn't load. It says I have to open Woopra as Root/Administrator to complete the update. Which is absurd, since I am the administrator on my own computer. Didn't have this problem with previous versions. I don't know what's wrong or how to fix it. Some help would be tremendous.
