    Hello Woopra,

Can you share with us if a Joomla plugin, module, or component is in the works for Woopra. If yes, will it support both 1.0x and 1.5x?

Since the manual installation simply invloves cut/paste of javascript it can be easlily installed in the main index.php of any joomla site. Having a plugin, module, or component that passes some more specific data woulb be sweet!

    Thanks,

    Joe

Joomla is easy, just go to your "Module Manager"

    1-click new
    2-tick Custom HTML
    3-give a title for mod
    4-put editor in source view
    5-past code in window

    After that make sure:
"Show Title" is set to no.
    "Enabled" is set to yes
"Menu Assignment" is set to all
"Position" is set to "Debug" (important)

As long as you have followed those steps your good to go....

Ahhh but wait as a Joomla user you probably know that the editor has a funny habit of stripping the code on clicking save, if this happens click on "Site" and then "Global Configuration" when in that section look at "Default WYSIWYG Editor" and set that to "Editor-No Editor".

Go back and re-past the tracking code and hit save then reset your Editor choice in global config..

    Thanks for looking!

Thanks as well. I had considered putting in to 'debug' so that it was at some of the last bit of code on the page but, I wanted to make sure that there was not a case where it would show up in the frontend to a user (never had the need to use the debug location before). When I get approval, I'll try it.

Not being a 'programmer', thus not being able to develop the plugin myself, i did not know if a joomla specific plugin would allow for user tracking, etc. within the site similar to the vBulletin plugin does (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?p=1488018).

If anyone out there has a clue how to do this it would be very beneficial to the woopra community.

    Thanks,

    Joe

The vB plugin is mine. (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=174934) It's just a matter of me looking at the Joomla code to see how a module could be created. I say if the program offers a way to add content via a plugin/module, you wouldn't have to worry about removing the code during updates and such. At least, from a programmers point of view, that's how I see how most addons should code. :)
