live counts now much less

My Live counts have plummeted even though my page views and visitor counts have remained the same. I get around 700 visitors and 2000 page views/day and my live count was about 8 to 15 consistently, now they are usually one and sometimes two. What's changed?

I've noticed the same. I hope it's because it's now tracking live sessions like it was before where it looks at who's active every 5 minutes instead of what's been active every 24 hours or so.
