My domain name redirects to a dyndns.org address as (currently) I dont have a static IP with my ISP.

When someone browses to http://saltwaterit.com it redirects them to http://saltwaterit.dyndns.org (which appears in the address bar of the browser) before loading the page.

    Will this effect Woopra working?

I currently have the wordpress plugin installed, I'm not getting any error messages, but I'm getting nothing in Woopra's statistics.

    Any help greatly appreciated :)

  • You need to check the woopra code in your footer - it's showing twice, although the first instance looks mistyped, missing 'var'.

This may or may not fix the issue!

You must have caught my site when I was in the middle of mucking about with it....

I was trying out using the wordpress plugin AND the manual script entry in the footer - I have since removed the manual one, but still no joy.

I'm not a scripting guru by any means, but think I can see where you mean its missing 'var' - however, that it being placed in there by the wordpress plugin. Since I'd guesstimate a LOT of people are using the plugin, I can only assume there's nothing wrong with it...??

I'm still under the belief that my domain redirection is causing the problem - ie. Wordpress is getting signals from saltwaterit.dyndns.org and ignoring them as its expecting saltwaterit.com - is there any way I can "rename" my domain in Woopra without having to go through the approval process again?

For the Woopra powers-that-be - I'd be more than happy to be a test subject for making Woopra work for redirected domain names :)

  • Your problem is the redirection (as you've already stated). I apologize for the delayed response. Please contact us at http://www.woopra.com/contact/ on how to proceed.

    Thanks.
