Server Work Underway

(18 posts)
  • FYI: We're working on the servers and your Woopra service may be interrupted at any time. This also means, as John said, that approvals may be stopped for a bit while our small team puts our focus on the new servers and transitioning the more than 10,000 users. It's hard to do both at the same time with our few numbers.

Hang in with us as we make these changes to improve your Woopra experience and service. We've been spending so much time handling all of the approvals and servers, we haven't had time to concentrate on bug fixes and improvements with Woopra.

As John has said, the sudden interest caught us off guard and this has taken us from the development phase to the customer service phase long before we were ready. We're doing our best. And your patience is so much appreciated.

As many of the initial reviews have said, we believe it will be worth the wait. :D

  • Thanks for the heads up Lorelle!

Do what you have to do - no one wants Woopra to break because we have been greedy and demanding on the servers. Woopra is too beautiful to not be given the necessary TLC. A majority of us are lucky that we've been able to experience Woopra up to this point, so the least we could do is take the backseat when necessary.

    :-)

YAY, hope the server work is going well and no unexpected problems creep up. Woopra seems to be functioning quite well for me at the moment.

  • Last night (about 9 PM Central European Time) I was still being denied access to one of my sites. This morning all seems to be back in order.

    Thank you guys! :-)

  • It's going to be up and down for a while, folks. We're doing our best, but it's not just the servers. Our server crew has been amazing, so there will be some pauses in the action as we move things around. It's natural.

More importantly, we're changing the Woopra engine to be more efficient and faster...just for YOU. This requests some quick pauses and work on the servers as we make those changes. We're using servers networked around the world and working hard to improve them to make Woopra better.

Thanks again for your patience while we make a lot of dust.

Thanks for the update Lorelle. How cool would it be to see a live video stream of the Woopra HQ of everyone running around configuring servers and going crazy. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd watch it for awhile :)

  • Jeff0: I think your imagination would be more entertaining than watching us pound furiously on our keyboards. :)

Thanks for the hard work, guys. My Woopra went down a little while ago and I feared it was because of some plugin upgrades. Appears as though this may be the reason; or at least I will cross my fingers.

  • Patience is a virtue especially when the outcome is this lovely bit of programming. if theres anything we can do (we run a Texas based hosting and web development company) you let us know ya hear? til then we wait with drooling anticipation we have 1 hosting customer who has been approved and he is absolutely in love with the app and cant figure out how he ever got along without it. The rest of our SEO minded hosting customers are all champing at the bit so to speak to get the same level of information. Rock on Woopra Rock on

One thing I've noticed - I've been unable to log in for several days - the login screen continually says, "Connected! Loading websites..." and the loading circle continues moving... but no progress has been made.

Is this because of the server problems? Or do I have a different problem?

Update... still unable to log in.

Let me know if these updates are NOT useful.

It looks like a great service, though. Considering the beta status, I'm willing to see through the growing pains!

Weirdly I can log in on my work connection (the first place I ever logged in) but at home it gets stuck at the loading websites page, which really confuses me!

Would the server work give errors to visitors of websites with the script tag?

If so - what is the work around for this? I can't have live sites screwing up for visitors/paying customers.

    Thanks in advance

;-) (The Woopra maintenance team part is spelled properly...it's the message itself that goofed.)
