I found instructions to get Woopra working on 32 bit systems using a port of Java 6 called SoyLatte. I tried for a good while to get it to work on my system, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why it wouldn't work. I'm not exactly a noob when it comes to techy *nix stuff (maybe close ;-), but the $PATH stuff was a bit confusing to me. After finding tutorials on how to add to the $PATH in order to install SoyLatte, I tried adding it, but no luck. Nothing changed, no matter what I did. Has anyone got it working on their system and could help me out? BTW, I'm running Leopard 10.5.2 on a Core Duo Mac, and I'd really love to get this working so I can use Woopra without VMWare!

I *think* i have SoyLatte up and running but Woopra still says i need Java 1.6. Where does Woopra look for the Java version?

I figured it out. I was doing everything in regular Terminal when I should have been doing everything in X11 Terminal. Try that.

I hacked up an automator app bundle that contains the jar. It can only be run from an absolute path but if anyone wants to give it a try thats running Leopard on a 32bit Mac, I can send you the file. Drop me an email al alec.peden @ gmail dot com.

After I actually get my site approved and can test it, I'll work on detailed instructions in a blog post for getting it to work.
