I've just installed the Windows client, version 1.1.1.0 Beta, and it appears to run fine at the beginning.

When I login it says "Connected! Loading websites..." and the pretty wheel above cancel just keeps turning and turning. I've only got one web site and 20 minutes later it's still turning.

I've tried rebooting and even reinstalling.

    But it just sits there...

  • Just wondering - are you trying to run the .jar file or the .exe? On my network at the moment we have a restriction policy IT will be revising for me this afternoon which stops unknown exe files being ran by users, so i tried running the .jar and the same thing happens - you get no further than 'connected! loading websites...'. However before this, I get a message saying windows security centre has blocked some functions of the woopra java client.

Will update on whether this also happens on the exe file, but a point of note is that the exe works fine at home.

After having the Woopra client (1.1.1.0) running perfectly for about 1 week, all of a sudden it stopped with the exact same issue you describbed above... anyone got any idea on the?

Same thing happening to me - I had it working yesterday but now it won't load the websites in the desktop app properly and just seems to keep "loading websites" for ages.

Should probably note I'm using a Mac and Leopard.

Exact same thing here - installed windows client on an XP machine at work - hangs. Installed on Vista SP1 at home - works.

At work we are behind a proxy, at home there's no such thing :)

Proxy, windows version or some system setup difference?

    Running 1.1.1.0 beta client...

I got the same problem here. Tried on a Windows Virtual Machine (VMWare) on an Intel Mac. Also tried it on an Ubuntu 7.10 server. It just loads forever when the message "Connectet. Loading Websites" appears.
I am running the 1.1.1.0 beta client
