Hi. I'm just wondering, does anyone here use google analytics code and woopra at the same time? I'm sure it will work but I'm concern about the performance of the page (considering it'll be two different requests for 2 different javascript services) Please share your experiences. Thanks

  • We use the two services in tandem and actually throw a third (StatCounter) into the mix. I have not noticed any degradation in performance due to these.

    Hi There,

I also use both (on: http://www.rensenieuwenhuis.nl) without perceiving any serious deterioration of performance. However, when watching the activity monitor of your browser, you should see separate scripts being loaded for both stat-counters, so technically this takes some more time to load.

Although this might not be perceivable to individual users, I wonder whether or not this might make a difference when you attract a large number of viewers, i.e. on the server-load side of the story. But then again, maybe an expert can shed some light on that issue.

I make NO CLAIMS to being an expert. But, I'd say you're pretty safe with Google's servers being able to handle the load your website's traffic puts on them--even if you got Dugg.
