Visitor amount discrepancy

Hi, please bear my English.
I logged on today to my Woopra software, after a week away, and found a weird surprise: all the last days visitors stats show BIG discrepancies.
I have three analytics tools on my website, two of them report that yesterday I had 2200 visitors, but woopra reports only 300.
That is the day with most different reports. But almost all days report less visitors than the the other two stats: Google Analytics and Clicky.
And I know yesterday I had 2500+ visitors lookingo trough my Adsense stats, and no 300.
Why is this happening? I didn't touch the code, and Woopra was working just fine days ago.
Thanks in advance, I hope I made sense :)

I think I have the same problem on my low traffic site.
Site 1 showed almost no visitors yesterday, but site 2 showed referrers from site 1.
Today almost the same: There are referrers on site 2 from site 1, but visits and hits on site 1 is zero, although there are countries listed, there are pages showing in "my content" and there are queries and keywords.

I noticed something new today.
If I'm logged in to the woopra client and someone visits my site at that same time, then my dashboard overview corrects itself.
Although woopra showed zero visitors for today, again there were countries listed, pageviews, queries,...
When I was logged in and someone visited my site at that moment, visitors jumped fom zero to 11.
Yesterday no one visited my site during the time I was logged in and visits stayed on zero.

Logged out and logged in again a few hours later.
Everything back to zero :-s

I also notice lately on Windows XP that Woopra is missing some visitors that Statcounter is picking up. I've been taking IP numbers from Statcounter and seeing if they appear in Woopra. Maybe every 10th visitor is missed.

Woopra is limited to recording only those with JavaScript enabled, but let's keep an eye on this. Anyone else noticing a similar consistent discrepancy?
Flyboy, it seems that you are finding some really good little glitches. Let's hope we can find some consistency to determine if this is an XP issue or something else. Thanks for your attention to the small details. It's really appreciated.

Also, we're still tracking down some server issues as reported in the sticky note on the forum. Keep testing this and let us know if it continues. Close Woopra and restart it, and see if this keeps happening.
Thanks! Your input on this is really helping us.

Well, now is disastrous :(
Woopra is reporting this:
Sunday 133 visits 3870 pageviews - Google Analytics and others report 1900 visits
Monday 255 visits 5030 pageviews - GA and others: 2100 visits
And it's not promising: Today
Woopra: 250
GA and others: 1080 as for now.
Pageviews "seem" more and less on track, but Woopra is definitely not working for me. 1000 visitors is a LOT to lose track.
Hope you find the problem.

woopra isn't tracking anything consistently for me at all. I constantly have people on my site and all the client will ever show me is me and my visits. no one else. I think it is time to just stick to google analytics. They haven't let me down.

Noticed something new
Today visits shows 28, only 6 visits show in "countries"
http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/7762/woops3gr3.jpg
also, I still only see visitors if I'm logged in, when I log out, everything disappears again
-
Ok, today is no different for me: Woopra reports only 128 visits today, while all other reliable analytics report 1500.
So I guess Woopra is really broken for me, and going downhill. :(

The differences here are as extreme as HD told us above. Though this is a little bit different from site to site. I do monitor some more sites with woopra - some are near to their real traffic data, others are miles away. Woopra just doesn't count anyone even if other tools and a 'tail -f' on the logfiles show big activity.
And no, this is definitely not a JavaScript issue - it just seem to be big server problems at woopra. Unfortunately that makes woopra a nice toy but not really useful for analytics or even live monitoring.
Most of the extreme differences started to occur on last friday but there have already been not too small differences to other tools before - though they were ... well let's say... not that big.

Installed 1.3 and am finding the same issues. Unfortunately not only is there a difference between Woopra and other trackers I use, but my Wordpress tracker shows ZERO visitors over the last five days. The person above who mentioned that this started on Friday is right on target. That is when mine went bad. I also have the on again/off again problem with the desktop tracker. Once I actually watched as woopra added and then deleted visitors from several thousand to zero.
You had SUCH a good product! Why mess with it? Is there any way to get my old Woopra back?
I, too am running XP sp2. PLEASE do not make this a vista ap.
For all the hassles the wordpress 1.3 plugin took care of the main issues with 1.2 such as the line 21 and one 30 errors. So there is progress, but it is frustrating.
Actually I do think it's a javascript issue. Here's a question for you: I uograded Java some time over the weekend. Could it be that those of us who upgraded Java or were automatically upgraded are the problem?

This is happening to me on the same site - XP and Vista - Both 32 bit. Mine started about the same time, I have a few visits on Saturday 8/24, but then nothing since...
I do get active tracking all day, event notifications, live views, Search, daily stats dashboard looks fine - everything. But when I shut down at night, then power back up in the AM... All is gone but a bunch of 0's.
I even went so far as to delete everything in the woopra folder under my username to see if it was a corrupt settings file or something - that didn't help...

Any other comments from the Woopra team on what might be going on?

Counts each day, all day, but when 24:00 comes around, I exit Woopra and come back, everything for the day is gone. Just started on the 24th...

friz - I'm still in the same boat... all 0's... Looks just like your image.

For the last two days Woopra is saying I have very few visitors, which is not consistent with Google and my past history. Does anyone know what is going on?
-
Any News??
I like the idea of Woopra, but 3 weeks without stats makes it a waste of my HD space :(
-
I'm also seeing some significant discrepancies as well. On Friday, Woopra and Statcounter disagreed by a small margin with Woopra reporting a few more visitors and a few less page views.
BUT, for this Saturday and Sunday, Woopra is under reporting visitors by over 125 visitors each day compared to Statcounter! And page views are also being under reported although not by the same amount. It's more like 75-100.
I understand differences in the way analytics packages report but to go from almost agreeing with Statcounter to under reporting by 100+ visitors a day suggests a problem...
-
Today's discrepancy between Statcounter and Woopra is even greater than what I reported 4 days ago. Woopra is under reporting over 100 visitors and over 200 page visits.
-
I am noticing discrepancies as well. For the last few days, Woopra’s numbers are significantly different from the numbers I am getting from Google Analytics and Clicky.

We're working on this, folks, but we are still lacking information as we can't reproduce this correctly. PLEASE, give us your operating system and if the info you are talking about is found on the website, Woopra client, or Woopra WordPress Plugin.
Without some detailed feedback, we're having trouble reproducing this. We're working on it, but we need more info. Thanks!

Here are additional details on my current configuration where I am seeing significant under reporting by Woopra:
Site: http://buildingtheergonomicguitar.com
WP 2.6.2
Woopra plugin 1.3.4
Woopra desktop client 1.2 beta
Desktop operating system Windows XP Pro SP2
Other Stats programs running - Statcounter, Google Analytics
What other details would help diagnose the issue?
-
Site: http://basles.be
Woopra desktop client 1.2 beta
Desktop operating system Windows XP Pro SP2
Other Stats programs running - Google Analytics, Feedburner
Problems:
- All zero's in overview. Client shows results only when Woopra client is running when someone visits my site. After log out, overview stats are gone again.
- No online stats
- country hits is not the same as today visits
- I'm also having a lot of connection problems on this site lately

--------------------------------------------------
Site: http://muziekvod.tv
Woopra desktop client 1.2 beta
Desktop operating system Windows XP Pro SP2
Other Stats programs running - Google Analytics
Problems:
- No online stats
- client sometimes shows pages in "my content" with no landings, exits or hits. Or exits with no hits
- Last Wednesday the client showed hits, but no visits
----------------------------
I also noticed that if there are different links like http://basles.be & http://www.basles.be , people show up twice in the client.
-
Today's issues with the Woopra client: Page views are about inline but Woopra is only reporting 1/2 the visitors being recorded by Statcounter.
In addition, I'm seeing almost daily misrepresentations of search results under the My Content section of the Dashboard with wildly inaccurate over reporting which then appears to clear up at some point later.
The details of my set up are in my post from yesterday.
-
Under-reporting here, too. For yesterday, Google Analytics shows 2,390 visitors, GetClicky 2,484 and Woopra 1,668!
What gives?
Mark

Additional Info:
Woopra Desktop Client 1.2
Desktop Operating System: Mac OSX 10.5.5
Other Stat programs: Clicky, Google Analytics, HubSpot, HitTail, Stat Counter

Sorry for my bad english. I have the same problem! Seems as Woopra counts only about 2/3 of visits after 1pm. From 0am till 1pm everything seems to be ok but then the relation between am and pm seems to be incorrect and Google Analytics gives different Data too.
