Wow! Great Job!! Is it heresy to say that the interface is cleaner and easier-to-read than the desktop version? (especially the dashboard)
So far the only problem I've seen is that there is a difference of about 10 visitors between the 2 versions (web version shows 10 more than the desktop version)
Fantastic!
Warren
Now the web version is showing about 15 or 20 visitors LESS than the desktop version. I just lost about 25 visitors on the web version!
Some more problems...
1. ALL visitors are being marked "new"
2. Time on the upper right side says "Monday March 30" - it's still "Sunday March 29" here in NY
3. All of a sudden when a visitor views another page, BOTH the page visits AND visitors count goes up by one totally messing up the visitor count.
Don't get me wrong...this is great, just some things that have to be ironed out
Great feedback, thank you! We just made some changes a couple hours ago to the server, so we're testing things. Thanks for the update and input.
i am not able to connect with one of my websites uning chrome and internet explorer .it says 'Connection Failed! Re-Connecting... ' and never connects . the app connects fine with my other website .
it's great to see the web version out , keep up the good work

Yesterday Sunday early evening, a service interruption for maintenance, return of service, there was about forty (VU) unique visitors.
This morning at 01:00 (Paris local time) The day has just begun, on my dashboard there are 1012 (VU) 3585 unique visitors and page views.
Woopra is obviously in trouble and lost control over his subject.
I want to know what happens, is what can you trust?

@sahajinirmal: We're looking into the IE issue. It works for some but not for all versions of Internet Explorer. What version of IE are you using. It works in Firefox consistently.
@lorrain13: The web app is new and will have some ups and downs as we work on it. We're getting feedback from you and others from all over the world using all the different systems. Thanks for helping up improve it.
I'm unable to connect using Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11.
But this might be due to my work firewall. Does the app need any connectivity beyond http on standard ports?
having trouble connecting with any browser, using vista 32bit and 64bit, in work and at home, other people in work can connect to their sites but im unable to connection closed by server is what i always seem to get.
thanks
I'm having the same issue as gimmick. It worked last night but now it won't connect.
Same problems here on Safari 4 and Firefox 3.0.8, Connection Failed! Re-Connecting...
We need to clear things up with this issue, and your help is needed.
Are all of you behind firewalls? I'm not and I have the same issue with IE 7 and we can't figure out exactly what is causing it since others with IE 7 aren't having this problem.
Can you check for errors. We don't need a list of all of them, but can you tell us what files/programs are reporting errors?
We're digging into this issue with shovels, and having a hard time reproducing it consistently across different machines, so all of us have something in common that is causing the connection failure in our setup for IE. As happens on this forum, if we work together, we usually find a solution. :D
Thanks!
I'm always getting the "connection failed...reconnecting" message as well. I'm running Firefox 3.0.8
Haven't yet been able to connect - Stalls even after reload and reload.
Am using Firefox 3.0.8 on Ubuntu
well in work my other work mates machines seem to be able to open the web based software but i cant, so i dont think its a firewall issue as we are all on the same network, im using firefox 3.0.7, with the web developer and firebug plugins both running and live http headers. if that helps using vista 32 bit system.
For what it's worth department:
I have 3 computers (2 Vista/1 XP) using Firefox 3.0.8 on all. Woopra (web-based) worked on one Vista computer and not the other two. I added Woopra to the popup exceptions list of FF and allowed Woopra (and all other scripts) on the addin No Script. Now all three computers can see Woopra.
Hope this helps...
Hopefully people will try that and it will work. Thanks!!!! This is a bugger to track down why as it works for most people, just a few not working.
Trying it now on mine.
@Lorelle VanFossen : i can see the stats for 3 of my websites but only one is returning an error in connection 'Connection Failed! Re-Connecting... ' i am using IE 6 and chrome 2.0.171 . web analytics is working good on both the browsers . only one of my website is unable to connect .
IE 6!!! Wow. That is a very unsecure version. Make sure you update. I know it sucks, but there are some dangerous security vulnerabilities.
For the rest dealing with newer versions, thanks for the continued input. We're working hard to figure this out. Thanks!
@medalia: Have Woopra already listed in the exceptions for popups. Not using the NoScripts Extension. Were you referring to another scripts option?
Still not working for me. Anyone else?
Same here. I listed Woopra in the exceptions for popups -> no success.
I installed the NoScript and allowed the pages it wanted -> still no success.
I am using FF 3.0.8 but in IE 7.0.5730.13 also doesn't work :-(
Lorelle...
Yes, I was talking about NoScripts in FF. Allowing Woopra in NoScripts made the difference for me. Sorry, wish it had made the difference for you and everyone else.
Ah, that one I'm familiar with. Most of us can get it work in FF. It's IE that's the PITA. :D
Does it use a different (non HTTP) port? I'm having issues behind Corporate Firewalls.
We're working on the firewall issue. We'll be posting news on this soon. Please be sure you are using the latest Woopra JavaScript.
Rightous :)
Got this error on Mac/Firefox 3
http://analytics.woopra.com/db/mtools.jsp?action=getsegments
But then it loaded. And yes, that was the error. It popped up, said that, I clicked ok, and it loaded.
And I'm using the latest Woopra JS.
Thank you for the awesome analytics!
Two issues I found so far.
1. Chat is not working. I've tested it with Firefox, IE7
2. On the Dashboard, panel 'My content' the pages are groupped by file name omitting parameters of get-request. For exapmle:
catalogue.php?catalogue_id=12 catalogue.php?catalogue_id=13 are being groupped as catalogue.php.
Chat is not work. As reported, it is under reconstruction in the release candidate.
We're tracking down issues with oddly formed dynamic query URLs. Many sites are doing away with those for many reasons, including SEO, so they aren't as "typical" as they used to be. We're working on resolving the issue to avoid fragmentation of the analytics results as can happen with such URLs.
Just tried renaming one of my sites and got this error
HTTP Status 500 -
