    I am looking at

What makes a current users or live user?

Made a page request in the last 5 minutes / 10 minutes?

What is the time interval for a user session to timeout and no longer be live?

After the latest update, visitors will be considered live as long as a page is open in their browser. Note that after a minute (or maybe more) of inactivity, a visitor will be considered idle. You can see the idle icon in the live panel, (the small panel on the left)

  • Ok, so that's why there's so many visitors that looks stuck at my site? Some people (actually a lot of people) have been there for more than 12 hrs... personally I liked the former way you did it much better - it's just confusing to see people there when they actually not paying attention to your site. I really hope you will do something about this :)

hmmm, I have a videopodcast streaming in Flash on my main page.
So, everyone looking at the 25min podcast is idle??

  • Isn't this going to completely throw off realistic time on page calculations?
