I'm not looking for troubleshooting help here. I just spent the last 45 minutes in the troubleshooting forums. I just want to vent.
I really like Woopra, but getting it installed on my linux machine was a complete PIA. Now the software requires an update, and I'm back at square one. I'm sorta done here because I don't want to spend two hours screwing around with this every time Woopra decides to update their software.
This is partly my fault. I'm a linux newbie. But thanks to Ubuntu, there's lots of Linux newbies. Why cant Woopra work through the repositories to make it easy on us?
My main computer is a Mac, and maybe I'll load Woopra up there. But maybe not. I picked up an old PC, and converted it to Ubuntu to use as a second computer. It runs stuff like Skype, Gmail, and G-reader, leaving my Mac free to render photos and edit audio. It's been great having Woopra running on the linux box while I'm working on the Mac.
Until Woopra can simplify the installation process, I don't see me using it. This is a program that I would BUY if I didn't have to screw with this.
