Woopra Servers Under Maintenance - Patience Please

    Woopra servers are down for maintenance. Please be patient. This impacts online and desktop access of stats. We're working on it and will be announcing here the status as soon as we have them back up.

    This impacts a large number of Woopra users, though most are not impacted.

    Ah, the joys of beta testing. :D

    Thanks to all for your support and patience as we work to finish the migration over to more stable servers and architectural support.

    Also, a round of applause for Jad Younan, our Woopra server guru who has broken all the rules to make the server script for Woopra fast and more efficient, getting the stats to your Woopra desktop client even faster so "real-time" means NOW. Expect this to improve even more as we dive back into the code for the next month or so before we release the next version big version of Woopra.

    I posted my site "hishamqaddomi.ca" for a month now and yet it is pending approval. I is this normal? Is there anything wrong? Do I have to pay or to take any action?

    Please let me know, I contacted this site two weeks back with no reply.

    I hear nothing but good things about woopra but I have been waiting for three days to get an approval on my site!

    The service appears to be KILLER and I wouldn't mind actually paying for it.

    Come on guys, we want you to suceed but we need feedback on when can expect stuff to get done/working.

    A "potentially" adoring fan...

    First, *really* appreciate the product and the hard work you guys are doing to create something innovative *and* useful

    Second, thank you for approving a second wave of sites - all good things are worth waiting for :-)

    Third, since these approvals, one of my existing sites doesn't connect, and the newly approved are not connecting either. Did the code change to necessitate my updating these sites since I submitted for approval about 6 weeks ago?

    Good Morning from Germany.
    I have woopra installed with a Joomla Plugin (http://www.joomlaos.de/option,com_remository/Itemid,41/func,fileinfo/id,4033.html). Until one week I get the message
    Live Woopra Web Analytics is currently undergoing construction and updates. Please refer to the Woopra application or Woopra WordPress Plugin as we work to make Woopra even better
    if i want to view the stats.

    When do you think, that this site is working fine. I am also interessted in a payment model, but not with this performnce.

    It took seconds to find out the reason why I could not connect Woopra today, which is good.
    The Woopra system tells me someone is online VERY QUICKLY, which is good.
    It`s all good so far!

    The windows desktop client connects only one of my two sites using Woopra. Would be really nice to know if this is indeed due to maintenance. My wordpress plugin seems to be able to read stats for this site though, so it's a bit weird the desktop client does not pick it up.

    Any info on when things will be working again?

    OK it is rather annoying that there is no response whatsoever from anyone at Woopra. I respect it's still Beta and it's free, but at least give us an update on if the service is down or not.

    Is this why my site, thetechcorner.net, shows: http://twitpic.com/11x8e when visiting it in the browser (from the members panel) and I get:
    "The Woopra Plugin was not able to request your analytics data from the Woopra Engines.
    Your hosting provider is not allowing the Woopra Plugin to fetch data from the Woopra Servers." when in the Wordpress Admin.

    Update: Almost all of the 60,000 Woopra accounts have been migrated over to new and faster servers. The server code has been totally rewritten and is dramatically improved.

    Woopra will be releasing the next beta candidate for testing very soon. Stay tuned, and thanks for all during this initial year of development. It's been incredibly stable and most users have experienced very little downtime. Supporting a dramatically wide range of website and blog platforms, types, and traffic levels, we are very excited with how Woopra has been working.

    Your feedback has helped us make Woopra even better, and we look forward to bringing it out of development and into the world very soon. Thank you!

    What?
    What about all these accounts 'pending' approval? They don't seem to be pending at all, rather, they're at a stand-still.

    Do you not have anything to say to them?

    Maybe I should just go with Google Analytics...

    The new version of Woopra is due to release any time and we will be approving more beta testers, those willing to put Woopra though the process of testing and checking it to help it improve while it is still under closed private beta testing. We have almomst 60,000 signed up and actively using Woopra, and very few who are currently waiting for approval.

    We've been approving them in batches when resources are available. Server costs have been very high, so we are thrilled with the huge number of people willing to test Woopra and the feedback has been very exciting, and the new version will feature a lot of that input.

    We're eager to get Woopra stable and ready for release from beta, then there will be no waiting times for registrants. We know there are many more who want to try Woopra, and we are working as fast as we can to get it out of the testing and development phase.

    There are several analytics programs for you to choose from, some of them free. Thank you for your enthusiasm for Woopra.
